Ministries

Our ministries consist of worship, Bible teaching, fellowship, prayer, encouragement for godly living, and outreach.

Every Sunday morning at 9:30 we meet to worship the Lord in a communion service. This is a rich time of praising our God together.

There is a fellowship break with refreshments at 10:30. Then the Family Bible Hour is from 11 to 12, with Sunday school classes for the children and a service with singing and Bible teaching for youth and adults. Often the congregational singing is led by a praise team blending vocal, guitar, drum, and piano music or by a song leader with piano and/or organ accompaniment.

Young people meet for activities, fellowship, Bible study--and often supper--on Sunday evenings.

During the school year we participate in providing Thursday evening AWANA programs for children at Emmaus Bible College and a Friday evening inner-city youth ministry called "Friday Nighters."

On Wednesday evenings we have prayer and Bible-study services, with one a month consisting of a supper and missions emphasis.

Our ladies meet in various Bible study groups throughout the week. The men also have times of Bible study and fellowship.

Two missionary families have been sent out from us with our backing in prayer and practical support. In 1987 we commended the Gil Vargas family to the Lord's work in Spain. Then in 1998 we commended the Dan Rogers family to serve in Ecuador. Each month we also feature a "missionary-family-of-the-month" or a "mission-ministry-of-the-month."

There are social activities and service opportunities throughout the year that provide occasions for enjoyable fellowship and enriching ministries together.

Summer schedules variously include camp and conference involvements, short-term missions trips, vacation Bible school sessions, and family fun days, along with many of the regular activities.
